“I started working with Alex, following some rehab for an old back injury. While I had a sports background and wasn't new to training or going to the gym, I had never done any online coaching. I've found the experience to be excellent. It works really well with life at the moment (young kids, busy work) and very much keeps me focused and accountable. Following the initial assessment and goal setting, during which we made plans to manage injury, Alex and I check-in every week and set the program for the days ahead.
This can be adjusted based on a particular focus or problem area that week, or if I'm busy with work on certain days - this is a real perk. After about 4 weeks I was noticing improvements in strength and form, reactivating a lot of areas I hadn't worked in a while. And between 6 and 8 weeks, there has been real progress: I feel fitter and stronger and am seeing great improvements on the scales/waist line!
The accountability, alongside flexibility, is a bonus of the online model, and I've been able to easily get guidance from Alex, or ask questions, via the app, which is very easy to use.From my experience, I'd very much recommend Alex's coaching through Robust Strength, for anyone looking to kickstart their fitness journey or those looking to stay accountable while getting back into, or raising their training rhythm - all with expert guidance and support.”
